1. Which bikes can I rent from Zugspitz Bike?

We offer a wide selection of bikes for every adventure:

  • Mountain bikes: Hardtails for relaxed rides through the moss, but also fullys for challenging trails

Whether you're tearing through challenging off-road trails on a hardtail or tackling the steepest trails on a full-suspension bike, our mountain bikes offer everything you need for an unforgettable off-road adventure. Robust bikes for every challenge!


  • E-bikes: From low-step-through to long-range 750Wh fully

Our e-bikes cover all needs: from the low-step-through model for comfortable urban riding to the long-range 750Wh fully-suspension model, which supports you on long tours through mountainous landscapes. Whether you're looking for relaxed rides or sporty adventures, an e-bike is always the perfect choice.


  • Children's bikes: Cool full suspension bikes for the bike park and e-bikes from 20"

For our little adventurers, we offer cool full-suspension bikes for the bike park as well as e-bikes starting at 20" – perfect for aspiring cyclists who want more than just leisurely rides. Our kids' bikes offer safety, comfort, and lots of fun!


  • Accesories:

Bring your dog? Your kids aren't riding alone yet? Do you need a set of protective gear for the trail? No problem – we have plenty of rental accessories!

 

2. How can I rent a bike from Zugspitz Bike?

You can easily book your bike online or visit us directly at our on-site rental shop. To book online, simply visit our website and select the desired bike model and rental period.

3. How long can I rent a bike?

You can rent a bike for a day, a weekend, or even a whole week—depending on your needs. We offer flexible rental options that fit your schedule.


4. Do I have to pay a deposit?

No, no deposit is required when renting a bike.


5. What is included in the price of the bike rental?

The rental price includes:

  • The bike including accessories such as helmet and lock as well as first aid and repair kit
  • Free maps and route recommendations
  • A detailed service check before the bike is handed over
  • For e-bikes from the 2nd rental day also a charger

If required, additional accessories such as backpacks, child trailers or protectors can be rented for an additional charge.


6. What happens if I damage or lose a bike?

If the bike is damaged or lost during the rental period, liability is required according to the rental terms and conditions. We recommend exercising caution on all rides and regularly checking the bikes for damage. You also have the option of purchasing in-house insurance.

Our staff are available to answer any questions you may have at any time.


7. Do I need any special equipment or clothing for bike rental?

For cycling, we recommend comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. If you're riding an e-bike, remember to bring plenty of water and a helmet. A helmet and lock are included in the rental price, but you're welcome to bring your own if you wish.


8. Can I also rent the bike for a guided tour?

Yes, at Zugspitz Bike we also offer guided tours. Whether a leisurely tour through the valley or a challenging mountain bike tour around the Zugspitze – our experienced guides will show you the most beautiful routes in the region. You can conveniently rent your bike for the tour or bring your own.


9. What payment methods does Zugspitz Bike accept?

We accept all common payment methods:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Diners, BC)
  • EC card and cash (for on-site pickup)
  • Voucher from Zugspitz Bike

10. What happens in bad weather?

If the weather isn't cooperating and you've booked your bike in advance, just contact us to discuss your options.


11. Do I need to reserve a bike in advance?

Although advance reservations aren't required, we recommend it, especially during peak season. This way, you can secure your preferred model and avoid long wait times. You can reserve online or by phone at any time.


12. Where can I pick up and return my bike?

You can pick up and return your bike at our shop in Lermoos. You can also optionally book a pick-up and drop-off service (only in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena). Returns are either on the same day or by arrangement, depending on the rental period.


13. What happens if I return the bike late?

If you need to return the bike after the rental period has expired, we'll be happy to inform you of any additional charges. However, we offer flexible return options if you notify us in advance.
